Owner Robert “Bob” Butterson operated Butterson Builders with his father in the mid 70’s and in 1979 he obtained his own builders license. Bob would eventually go on to work for a general contractor which mostly specialized in commercial construction. He would expand his knowledge of the trades and become a leader in the field. In the year 2000 he decided to get off the road and come back home. When he decided to start Butterson Construction his son Matt Butterson began working for the company immediately. Matt always shared interests in construction and carpentry with his father and in 2007 he earned an associate’s degree in CADD (computer aided drafting and design) Engineering, and in 2012 obtained his own builders license. Together they have designed and built many homes, cottages, additions, remodels, and everything in between. They have a small team of experienced carpenters and a large group of contractors. Working with the best of all trades they expect a high level of quality and care. There is no project too big or too small. Highly involved in everything they do this father and son team will work side by side with their crew on every project.

“I intend to put my heart and soul into everything I do. It’s not only something that is learned over time, it is something that you do from the start. One of the most upsetting things I hear from a potential client is a person has contacted multiple contractors and some don’t call back, some don’t show up to the meeting, and some say they aren’t interested. We are interested in every project and I think that gets us in trouble sometimes with scheduling. But, we feel that everyone deserves an honest and detailed proposal of their project, no matter the scope or the costs.” – Matt Butterson
